Customer Support: Troubleshooting: Transfer an Account to a New Computer How to Transfer Your Stamps.com Account Data to a New ComputerBefore continuing, please take note of your User Name and Password as they will be needed to re-register your Stamps.com account. First, make a backup copy of your Stamps.com address book and/or Printed Postage History:
(NOTE: The procedures above may be followed as well if you decide to save the information to a floppy, flash Second, download and install the Stamps.com software from our website to your new computer: Download the latest version of Stamps.com (found at http://www.stamps.com/download/) After you finish downloading the file, there should be an icon on your desktop (or wherever you chose to save it) named stamps.exe. Simply double-click that icon to begin the installation process. If you cannot find where you saved the file, you can do a search on your computer for stamps.exe. To do this, click on your Windows Start button and select Find > Files or Folders. In the Named: field, type stamps.exe. In the Look in: field, select the item that says C: drive or Local hard drives, then click the Find Now button. When you find the file, simply double-click it to begin installation. When it asks if you have an account, choose Yes, and follow the on-screen prompts. Third, restore the backup copy of your address book and printing logs to your new computer:
