What is Hidden Postage?
Hidden Postage is a new Stamps.com shipping feature which allows you to print a Shipping Label without showing the face value of the postage paid.

Why do I want Hidden Postage?
The Hidden Postage™ feature is designed for businesses, shippers, online sellers and auctioneers.

Hidden Postage allows you to maximize your profits by charging shipping and handling fees that more accurately reflect your postage, packaging, and handling costs. By using Hidden Postage Labels in your fulfillment, you may reduce the number of customer complaints you receive regarding shipping and handling fees.

What do I do if my package with Hidden Postage is not accepted at my local Post Office?
Refer the postal employee to the following web page, http://www.stamps.com/auth, where they can verify the postage amount paid.

We also recommend that you bring a copy of the USPS® Postal Bulletin 22099 (page 100) that announces the approval of shipping labels with hidden postage.

Why can't I use Hidden Postage on NetStamps and Internet Postage?
Currently the USPS has only authorized Stamps.com for hiding the postage amount on Shipping Labels using electronic Delivery or Signature Confirmation™ services. Hidden postage is required to use an electronic delivery or signature confirmation number which are not available with NetStamps or Internet Postage.

Am I required to send my package on the date that is printed on my Hidden Postage Label?
As required by the U.S. Postal Service®, Hidden Postage Labels must be mailed on the date specified on the label. If you are preparing your package for shipment, remember that you can postdate your Hidden Postage Label by up to 7 days. If the mailing date has already passed, there is no Date Correction capability. We recommend that you submit it for a misprinted postage credit. Complete information can be found at http://www.stamps.com/support/general/account/refunds/postage-refunds/.

I'm trying to add Special Services to my Hidden Postage label but the option is unavailable. Why?
Due to U.S. Postal Service requirements, we do not currently support Special Services other than e/Delivery Confirmation™ and e/Signature Confirmation™ in combination with Hidden Postage. If you would like to add insurance you can always use Stamps.com insurance.

I'm trying to send a package to an APO/FPO address and it is saying the address is invalid?
Hidden Postage Labels, like Shipping Labels, do not support APO/FPO addresses. Shipping Labels require the use of Electronic Delivery Confirmation or Signature Confirmation, which do NOT support APO/FPO addresses. To send a mail piece to an APO/FPO address, we recommend you use the Stamps.com Internet Postage feature with the 3-Part Multi-Purpose Label Rolls (#30383). If you choose to use NetStamps, you must take all packages more than 16 ounces to a retail US Post Office to send. This restriction does not apply when using Internet Postage.

I'm trying to send a package to another country, and it is telling me the address is invalid?
Hidden Postage Labels currently do not support International delivery addresses. If you have a package going to an International address, please use NetStamps.

I printed a Hidden Postage Label to the wrong address how do I get credit for this?
Hidden Postage Labels may be submitted for misprinted postage credit per the standard regulations for any misprinted postage with Stamps.com. Complete information can be found at http://www.stamps.com/support/general/account/refunds/insurance-refunds/

I have a Stamps.com or a DYMO LabelWriter, can I use the Hidden Postage feature?
Yes. We recently added support for this feature with the 4-Part Shipping Label Rolls (30387). You must be on at least Stamps.com version 3.2 to use hidden postage with your LabelWriter.
